The purpose of the “My Brothers’ Burden” walk is to raise awareness for PTSD in the emergency services profession. This charitable organization is headed by retired Fire Fighter Tom “Bull” Hill who organizes walks to spread awareness to the losses suffered by those dealing with PTSD. Hill has organized walks throughout the State of Florida and is organizing this walk to honor the loss of those Fire Fighters locally that suffer from PTSD, with special attention to the recent loss of Detective Dan Cucchi, Fire Fighter Chad “Conner” Kuschel, and Coral Springs Fire Fighter Michael Matonak.
Assist distributing water to walkers coming from Station 80 to North Community Park. There will be 2 hydration stations. One will be at Betti Stradling Park, and the second will be at North Community Park.
Please meet at Betti Stradling Park off of Coral Springs Drive for assignment.
CERT attire required.
