This month, our team shifts from the classroom to the field with a behind-the-scenes tour of Fire Station 80. As a primary hub for local emergency response and specialized rescue operations, Station 80 offers an incredible environment for CERT members to observe professional public safety infrastructure in action and understand how our volunteer team fits into the larger Coral Springs emergency management system.

Coral Springs Parkland CERT hosts a live, one hour webinar to educate the public on life saving strategies and describe FREE training available prior to each CERT Basic Training Academy. The next live webinar is August 29th, 2026. 

High School students age 14 and older will be eligible to earn service hours for taking the Basic Training Academy.

Join us on September 11 as we come together in front of the 9/11 Memorial to honor and remember those we lost. CERT has been requested by the City to help with hydration needs.

Let’s keep our response readiness clean and sharp! Join us for a hands-on morning dedicated to maintaining our response vehicles and getting comfortable with the gear we rely on when disaster strikes.

Whether you’re a seasoned responder or a new member looking to get your hands on our equipment, this is the perfect chance to build confidence and camaraderie.

The City of Parkland is hosting its annual Back to School Splash Bash, a fun-filled community event featuring music, games, food, and plenty of water slides for families of all ages.

We are looking for CERT volunteers to assist with the following critical roles:

• Public Education Table: Engage with residents, hand out informational materials, and promote community safety and emergency preparedness.

• Hydration Support: Provide water to event staff so they stay safely hydrated throughout the event.
