July 2018 General Meeting

This month's meeting was changed to a special presentation of the Post Incident Analysis (PIA) / Review of the 6 month anniversary of the February 14th incident at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. This is the same presentation that will be given at the National CERT Conference next week.  The CSPFD wellness committee will also be in attendance to talk with the team.  Those members who responded to the MSD call are STRONGLY encouraged to attend.

The September meeting will be a review of our basic training skills of fire suppression and cribbing. We will do some fun classroom review of fire and hazmat material and cribbing and then we will do some hands on practice of fire suppression. The plan, weather and logistically permitting, is to practice on real fire out in the yard. Our backup plan is to have a friendly fire suppression competition with our Bullex simulator in the classroom. Please be in proper uniform including closed toe shoes and bring basic PPE including eye protection (required), gloves and helmet.
