CLASS NAME: FCC Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) Technician Licensing Class
DESCRIPTION: This course will teach you what you need to know in order to get your first FCC Amateur Radio license. In addition to being a great hobby, there is a serious side as well - when ham radio becomes a public service. When emergencies strike, ham operators are at their best. Ham radios, often, are the only means of communications following a disaster where they continually keep emergency responders in contact with many necessary resources.
Ham operators also provide communications support for many blue-sky/normal day events such as bike rides, marathons and parades. Morse code is NOT required for this course. We will have a team on Sunday to administer the FCC licensing exam. Please bring $15.00 CASH ONLY for the testing/licensing session. Please read the additional information.
