This month, our team shifts from the classroom to the field with a behind-the-scenes tour of Fire Station 80. As a primary hub for local emergency response and specialized rescue operations, Station 80 offers an incredible environment for CERT members to observe professional public safety infrastructure in action and understand how our volunteer team fits into the larger Coral Springs emergency management system.

The City of Parkland is hosting its annual Back to School Splash Bash, a fun-filled community event featuring music, games, food, and plenty of water slides for families of all ages.

We are looking for CERT volunteers to assist with the following critical roles:

• Public Education Table: Engage with residents, hand out informational materials, and promote community safety and emergency preparedness.

• Hydration Support: Provide water to event staff so they stay safely hydrated throughout the event.
