The Fire Chiefs Association of Broward County will be holding the first annual Summer Sizzle Fire & Safety Kids Camp on July 18-20, 2017, hosted by the City of Pompano Beach. The purpose of the Summer Sizzle event is to deliver fire and safety education to kids (5K – 5th grade) from summer camps throughout Broward County.
SUMMER SIZZLE 2017 PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- The Summer Sizzle Program will be presented in six (6) sessions.
- Location: Emma Lou Olson Civic Center

- Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, July 18-20, 2017.
- The sessions will run 9:00-11:30am or 1:00-3:30pm each day.
- A 30 minute Pre Show will start at 9:00am and 1:00pm each day for those camps that arrive on time.
- All six program modules will start at 9:30am and 1:30pm each day and run simultaneously.
- The camp groups will be divided into 20-30 kids per group with a camp supplied counselor and will rotate to six (6) program modules for 20 minutes each.
- The Summer Sizzle event can accommodate approximately 400 camp children per session, with a total of 2400 campers seen in a three day period.

- Bicycle Helmet / Crossing the Street / Wheeled Sports Safety / In the Car, covering Booster Seats and Seat Belt Usage.
- Water Safety.
- Crawl Low in Smoke
- 911 / Smoke Alarms / Get Out, Stay Out.
- Fire Truck Tour / Spray the Fire Hose.
- Meet the Firefighter with Bunker Gear / LIFEPAK Demonstration / Minor First Aid
